About

Caitlin Donnelly, the creator and principal writer of TBI on the Hill, is a graduate of Duke University with a B.A. in Political Science.  Professionally, Caitlin has experience in both politics and media, including journalism.  She is also a traumatic brain injury survivor.  Years ago, she was a pedestrian in a hit-and-run auto accident that left her in a coma for 6 weeks.

Based on her experience, Caitlin has seen that awareness and understanding of brain injury varies considerably in public discourse and, especially, in political contexts.  She started this blog so that people can know what is being done and said about brain injury within government.  Through this blog, Caitlin hopes to show to survivors and their loved ones that while we may be misunderstood, we are not forgotten.
